I think that you would need to demultiplex the audio and video, convert the audio to PCM in a WAV file and import the PCM audio and AVC video as separate WAV and MP4 files. Sony.txt: 8-bit H.264 in an MP4 container is supported, but Davinci Resolve doesn't support AC-3/Dolby Digital audio, period. Plus, there is a lot that I don't know when it comes to Apple's containers and codecs. Thank you! I'll do my best to help but I'm also having trouble deciphering some of the DaVinci Resolve spec and I'm not as good at detecting codec issues as some others here. I attached files made with ' Mediainfo' from 4 different sources. The whole file extension/container/codec thing trips me up sometimes.
